What is permanent jewelry?
Permanent jewelry is a bracelet, necklace, or anklet that doesn't have a typical clasp for easy removal. Instead, the piece is custom sized and welded together, intended to be permanent up until the wearer decides to remove it. The word "permanent" sounds scary, but don't worry-- our jewelry can be easily removed.

About Gildsmith & Co.
Our Story
Gildsmith & Co., a veterans-owned small business, was founded in 2024 by Kyle and Samantha “Sam” Brown. Kyle, originally from central Pennsylvania, and Sam, raised in the Philadelphia suburbs, met while attending nursing school at West Chester University. Following graduation, Kyle began 6 years of active-duty service with the US Navy, and Sam, along for the ride, worked or volunteered in a number of positions both at home in DC and abroad during their tour in Italy. After the birth of their oldest daughter, Audrey, in 2013, the couple decided to lay roots back in Chester County. Their second daughter, Olivia, was born in 2017, rounding out the family.
As nurses, Kyle and Sam naturally have a deep connection with those they meet. Creativity is second nature, and they are constantly working on their next project. When Sam came home and said, “I want to create a business,” Kyle rolled his eyes, nodded his head, and began the research, just as Sam was finishing her latest home renovation.
That’s how Gildsmith & Co. was born. Not just a brand, but an experience of bringing people together to curate high-quality, timeless jewelry that’s as unique as the wearer.
